Gladstone Gathering gives a lift to equestrian sports from The Star Ledger

Equestrian activities in the Somerset Hills are slated to get a boost from cooperation among organizations that were the headliners during last weekend’s innovative Gladstone Gathering at U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation headquarters.

1More than 250 people, most of whom are involved in equine pursuits, turned out for a cocktail party where they heard the CEOs of the U.S. Equestrian Federation and the foundation focus not only on the legacy of the foundation’s landmark stable, but also about what can be staged there in the future.

Gladstone, NJ – June 22, 2015 A re-energized spirit of cooperation, focused on the historic United States Equestrian Team Foundation headquarters, bloomed during the Gladstone Gathering cocktail reception that brought together a wide range of equestrian organizations and supporters June 20, 2015.

Those attending renewed old acquaintances and made new friends, all with one thing in common — the love of horses and equestrian sports, with a wish that they continue to thrive and grow in the region. The event drew 250 guests, who heard Foundation President and CEO Tucker Johnson emphasize, “Without the support of individuals who share our passion for the sport and this facility, we can’t maintain the high standard, both here and most importantly, for our international athletes to go abroad and get winning.”

Gladstone Equestrian Association Looking to Add Additional Equestrian Activities

Gladstone, New Jersey – The Gladstone Equestrian Association (the “GEA”), long known for its focus on carriage driving, is studying the possibility of attracting additional equestrian clinics, competitions and events to the Gladstone, New Jersey area.

The GEA, a not-for-profit corporation organized thirty years ago to promote equestrian clinics and competitions, is responding to sentiments expressed by members of the New Jersey equestrian community and residents of the Somerset Hills area.
